Project Description

Skills Used:
C, C++, BREW, Software Design Patterns, Object Oriented Design, Network and Socket Programming, Mobile Application Development

When US Cellular wanted to launch its own branded ringtone storefront application, they came to 9 Squared. The success of RealTone JukeBox had proved that we knew how to build kick-ass mobile applications.

As Senior Architect, I designed and built the application framework and toolkit classes with which the application was built. I emphasized modular design for maximum code re-use, stability, and scalability. Tone Room showcased the next step in evolution for BREW applications. Utilizing dynamic graphical menus for a compelling user interface experience, and a mechanism for defining user interfaces using XML which allowed developers to easily build complex UIs without the need for writing any code.
